Not all polymers are created equal. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) coatings act as a physical shield against salt-spray and moisture ingress. Uncoated steel wire ropes degrade rapidly in the high salinity air of the Maldives. The smooth, non-abrasive PVC cover also prevents injuries to tourists and resort staff who interact with safety railings, while providing excellent UV stabilization.
PVC is flexible, cost-efficient, and suitable for static applications (railings, structural anchors, architectural designs). Nylon (PA11/PA12) is harder, possesses significantly higher abrasion resistance, and behaves exceptionally well in dynamic fatigue applications (winches, sheaves, mechanical lifting, port cranes) because it withstands continuous bending friction much better than PVC.
Our factory integrates active UV stabilizers and carbon black compound additives directly into our raw PVC and Nylon pellets before the extrusion process. This slows down the chemical aging processes caused by intense equatorial UV light, stopping the polymer coating from cracking, discoloring, or turning brittle.
